About Us

Welcome to Pawever Companions, where we wholeheartedly believe in the profound healing and therapeutic benefits that animals can bring. As the founder, let me share with you the deeply personal journey that led me here.

From a young age, I intuitively sought solace and comfort in the presence of our family pets whenever I faced challenging times. Their unconditional love and unwavering support became my refuge, a source of solace during moments of sadness or distress. Recognising the immense power they held to uplift spirits and provide genuine companionship, I discovered a profound passion for animals.

Later, as an adult, my mother was diagnosed with clinical depression. During this challenging time, I made the decision to entrust my beloved dog, Bindi, to her care. It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, but deep within my heart, I knew that Bindi's presence would prove invaluable in my mother's healing journey. Seeing Bindi’s positive impact on my mother's wellbeing reinforced my conviction that animals possess an innate ability to bring comfort, joy and a sense of purpose.

More recently, amidst the prolonged lockdowns in Melbourne, a friend was struggling with anxiety and depression. Recognising her struggle, I offered my own cat as a temporary companion, knowing the immense comfort and support this furry confidant would bring during the challenging times. Witnessing the healing power of animals, I was once again reminded of the immeasurable impact they have on our emotional wellbeing.

These experiences inspired the creation of Pawever Companions in 2023. Since then, Animal-Assisted Wellbeing Sessions have been delivered across aged care communities, universities, hospitals, workplaces and private homes throughout Melbourne, supporting the wellbeing of thousands of participants through meaningful interactions with therapy animals.

Whether supporting employee wellbeing in the workplace, bringing joy and companionship to aged care residents, or providing meaningful one-on-one experiences in the home, every session is tailored to the unique needs of the individuals and communities being supported.

Through certified therapy animals and genuine human connection, Pawever Companions aims to create moments of comfort, joy, companionship and belonging that leave a lasting positive impact long after each visit has ended.
